FORE! Actually, Grubb hit a really good shot right there…despite Collin Harrington in his happy place.
Red Bull does it right when it comes down to events, promotions, athletes, ideas, whatever. The Redbull Blackout in Okoboji Iowa was no exception.
We were pimped out rockstar status, having a true “talent” van and everything. Wow, that’s bigtime. jk. But, it was a production to say the least. Times and locations were given when and where we we were supposed to be shooting or otherwise. When there is a handful of riders hanging out together, that quickly translates into “scheduled downtime.” Rather than the normal downtime.
When we saw that break in the schedule, we quickly headed straight for the golf course. Me, Letchworth, Grubb, Collin, JD, cameramen and Red Bull babes. A few drinks (for dehydration purposes) later, we played really, really, well.
As seen is this pic, Collin’s game is very serious and nearly-pro status. He invented the golf handicap and gives it new meaning every shot.
