Lake Georgia, FL.
Good ol’ George on Lake Georgia, coincidence? Who knows? But I do know it’s no coincidence how consistent he can ride that skate.

We shot this last winter I believe. I remember it being freezing cold outside, wearing a full suit, and floating in the water for about an hour while George and Byerly rode passes by me.

We got a lot of great shots that day. In fact, in book 1.2 George is busting a huge benihana from this angle, also shot on that same morning.

This angle is cutting it close to the “danger zone” as some might call it. The beninana was deliberately driven a bit farther away, just because George is edging directly at me with much more speed.

For these kick-flip attempts, we brought the boat in closer to where I was floating. By the time the wake past me, George would be right in my face.

It’s closer in real life, but this lens I used make it looks about 3 feet farther than it really is.
Kick-flips in mirror are closer than they appear.
