Byerly invited me to take a trip down south to meet up with “Downsouth Dave” and the Miami posse to go ride and shoot for Volume Wakeskate Videos. We found a canal that ran along side of a municipal airport that was completely secluded with nothing but calm water and miles of endless riding.
The tricky part was riding the Sea Doo through the thick of the ghetto and not getting a fishing line stuck in our eyelid or a bullet lodged in the ski. We ducked our way through the multiple low hanging bridges to find this little gem of water way. The bridge Brandon Thomas is approaching was just barely high enough that he didn’t have to duck, but the next bridge ahead was barely above handle bar level. Each time we passed, we had to limbo our way under the bridge making new friends with the fisherman yet pissing them off at the same time. Not really a good place to make enemies, FYI.
