Early Morning Barefoot Flying

Labor day weekend. The last big weekend of the summer.

Every lake, river, pond and beach is packed with people. Lucky for my dad, most of the people stay up late and party.

He likes to wake up early, drive his boat out into the fog covered lake and find where it’s clearing and hit the water with his feet.

I rarely get up and go when he does, so this was a special day for me to be up.

He slides down the boom that sticks out the side of the boat. Grabs a handle that has 5 ft of rope tied off to the end of the boom. Swings out, and yells “SPEED UP” so he can do his toe hold, and stick his arms out like he’s flying (cause he kinda is). Then he slaps the water his one foot is spraying up, what a way to wake up!

This Photo says it all!

Zak your dad is a savage. I hope to be killing it like he does when I’m at his age.. the flowrider shots of him riding are also very sick. awesome!
