When it comes to the sport of wake, no bigger name is more predominant than that of Scott Byerly.
As an innovative person that he is, coming up with new creative ideas for photos, tricks, angles, whatever…he knows what looks good and how to do it right.
This setup came off a start-up pool that ran the length of the dock and toward the lake. Toward the end of the start-up pool was a decent ollie down to the lake if you so chose.
Or option B, which was the downrail that decended over several wood steps. What you can’t see are all the people that were out there all over the dock. I didn’t have much room go, other than getting in the water and shooting up underneath him a bit and toward the sunlight.
I ducked a few flying boards over my head from the previous failed attempts, but I wasn’t about to give up my spot/angle.
By the time Scott rode I was ready for the crashes and possible carnage to the dome, but luckily that never happened.
Scott stepped up and stuck it first go…or should I say stepped down?
