Back in high school I used to run track practice on distance days by this old farm just outside of town, the coach would always have us run on gravel to keep our legs from getting too beat up.

Well we would take this particular route by the way of this old farm and honestly never really noticed the winching spot in this small cow pond. Well when it came to wakeskate spots for the Red Bull Blackout shoot it just kinda worked out great that we had a spot already scoped out.

We unhinged an old pasture gate and sunk it in this mud-hole of a pond. While doing so one of our buddies was up in a nearby tree yelling smack at us, turns out he had a good idea going there.

I climbed up there and shot through the foliage for this particular shot of Brian. The guy was such a good sport for skating that pond, it was about a foot and a half of murky water and another foot of pure mud. What you cant see is the two dozen or so cows on the hillside watching the action as if wondering “why?”

Thanks for putting up with the disgusting water and for the good shot!
